Nadia Awad is a filmmaker and visual artist. Her art, which focuses on the nature of memory and its relation to power, has been shown at University of Illinois (Chicago), Elizabeth Foundation Center, flux factory, and, in collaboration with Tarab NYC, at Brooklyn Museum. Most recently, she received a Van Lier Fellowship to support a residency at Smack Mellon Gallery, and a BRIC Media Arts Fellowship.

Her writing on Palestinian movements and cinema has appeared in New Inquiry, The Journal of Palestine Studies, and Camera Obscura, which featured a dossier on a groundbreaking video art series she had co-curated. An editor and producer, she has cut short documentaries for Ogilvy, Great Works, the Center for Constitutional Rights, the Pace Gallery, myface.org, among others. Currently, she produces short videos for Lambda Legal, the oldest and largest legal organization advocating for the rights of LGBT people and people living with HIV.
