Giselle Bailey is a director whose work blends documentary, narrative and contemporary art to create content that is explosively visual and metaphorical. In 2022 Giselle was featured on DOC NYC’s 40 under 40 list and was granted a directorial fellowship with Concordia Studios. She is currently directing a HBO docuseries about Black TV called Seen & Heard, which is executive produced by Issa Rae and features a slate of talent including Oprah, Lena Waithe and Swizz Beats. Her directorial portfolio includes interstitials for Hulu docuseries Hair Tales, and HBO documentary feature The Legend of the Underground, which premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and was executive produced by John Legend.
"Untitled" is a hybrid documentary feature about black social movements in America created in collaboration with Stephen Bailey.
