Luciana Oliveira Vieira

Born in Aracaju (SE), Luciana Oliveira has a degree in Audiovisual, a Master's in Cinema and Social Narratives and is studying for a PhD in Sociology at the Federal University of Sergipe. She is the co-idealizer and general director of EGBE - Mostra de Cinema Negro and a film club member at Cineclube Candeeiro. She is also a member of the Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals (APAN), is a member of the Sergipe Permanent Audiovisual Forum and is a partner in Rolimã Filmes, where she works as director and costume designer. She directed the short films O corpo é meu (2014), Puerpério (2021), A mulher que me tornei (2021) and Espelho (2022) as well as the fashion films Preta Boho (2020) for the Gira Sol thrift store and Acorda (2022) for the brand Negra Luz. She is the curator of the National Showcase of the Penedo Film Circuit and has acted as curator and jury in other national festivals and showcases, including the International Black Audiovisual Festival of Brazil - FIANB (curator) and the Adélia Sampaio Competitive Film Showcase (jury). She was the general coordinator of the creative nucleus “Vem de Sergipe” Fashion Films edition. Finalist in the “Untold Black Narratives” project, developed by Warner Bros. Brasil in partnership with WIP Ventures in 2024.
