A documentary filmmaker and director of photography born in Puebla, Mexico, Olivia Luengas studied photography for 3 years in different schools in Puebla, CDMX, Madrid, and Paris. She graduated from the University of Guadalajara with a degree in Audiovisual Arts with a focus on photograohy and later on direction. Lenguas's debut film Lejos del Sentido won the Latin American Fund of the Tribeca Film Institute and the Grodman UdeG USA scholarship. A grant holder from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts, she is currently directing her second documentary feature Brigada 2045.
