Filmmaker Yoruba Richen Receives ITVS Funding
Congrats to filmmaker Yoruba Richen! Yoruba Richen's latest documentary, The New Black, which examines homophobia in the black church, was recently awarded production funds from ITVS. She expects the film to be completed in early 2013.Read more

Congrats to filmmaker Carol Bash who just won funding from ITVS for her new film Mary Lou Williams: The Lady Who Swings the Band. The film traces the legacy of this renowned jazz pianist, composer, and arranger who was determined to create in a world that could not see past her race or gender.
